Walk to Niederthai

Walking past the Stuibenfall Waterfall

Die Tour

A wonderfully varied route with enchanted forest paths and some outstanding high-altitude viewing points. The spectacular Stuibenfall waterfall is the highlight of this walk.

The first highlight of today's walk is en-route to the Seitental Valley in Niederthai. This spectacular route takes you past Tyrol’s tallest waterfall, the Stuibenfall. You’ll ascend stairs directly next to the gushing water before continuing across lush alpine meadows to the idyllic mountain village of Niederthai.

Autorentipp

If you want to shorten today's route you can hop on a bus in Habichen which would reduce your walk by 3-5 km. Further information can be found in the route description.

If you wish to avoid the suspension bridge at the Stuibenfall waterfall, you can take an alternative route via the Rattal church

Sicherheitshinweise

You will cross a number of fields on which livestock graze(including cows, sheep and horses), always close gates when you’ve entered and exited the field.

Give the animals space when you walk past them and do not attempt to pet or feed them. Keep an eye out for diversion signs (especially around fields which have cows with calves or bulls grazing on them). Do not attempt to cross fields where such diversions are in place. Follow the diversion until you re-join the normal path.
