From the hut, head uphill to the West, now on the Wild-Wasser-Weg. Shortly, you'll reach a turn to the Blaue Lacke (Blue Lake), which is a great detour. You'll then continue straight as you pass a trail to the right to the Grosser Togler (alternate route described below). The main route; however, continues straight through flat terrain into the valley. Then go to the right of the waterfalls, over two steep passages, to the Sulzenausee Lake. Turn right and ascend to another junction, where you'll turn left to finish the ascent to the Peiljoch Pass, where countless cairns await.
From the pass, descend to the northeast, and down a cabled section. Pass the trail that comes down from the Großer Trögler and continue descending toward a steel bridge and beyond to signs of civilization and a gondola. Stay to the left, and ascend the last few meters to the Dresdner Hut.
Alternate route over the Großer Trögler 2,902 m.: Shortly after leaving the hut, you'll pass the left turn to the Blaue Lacke, and then take the next right turn to the Großer Trögler. This trail becomes increasingly steep as it makes its way toward the ridge, passing through some exposed sections that are secured with steel cables. At the ridge turn left, and follow the trail first over the Kleiner Trögler at 2,885 m., and then finally over the Großer Trögler at 2,902 m. From the summit, follow the trail as it descends with intention to meet the trail that traveled over the Peiljoch. This detour adds 0.4 km. and 225 m. of ascent to the day.
