Weg

Follow the road that descends from the outdoor seating area at the hut. After a short distance, there is an option to descend via a footpath, "Fußweg" to the left or to remain on the road. The footpath meets up again with the road after about 20 minutes.

Enjoy the gentle descent alongside the stream until arriving at the large parking lot next to the Niederthai Tourist Information Office. Here, there is a bus stop for the Hiker's shuttle that runs 4 times a day. It is also possible to have the tourist information office call for a taxi to Umhausen (22€) or to descend a trail to Umhausen (bus stop) via Stuben Falls.

There is a hikers' shuttle that connects Niederthai to Umhausen in the valley below.

Note: If you don't arrive in Niederthai too early, we recommend a stop at the Ötztaler Brewery in Niederthai for lunch. The brewery opens on most days at noon.
