Weg
Follow the trail from the Konstanzer Hut to the south east on a pleasant forest trail. It connects with the road that leads south along the Fasulbach Stream. Follow this road through the valley, enjoying the gentle ascent as a contrast to the past days.
After the road crosses the stream on a wooden bridge, continue straight past the Fasulalpe farmhouse. The road ends here, and the first bit of trail as it crosses an open meadow is not as well marked as the rest of the tour. Cross the meadow, following the cairns, until you notice the obvious trail that leaves from the stream bed.
There may be several times when you think you see the pass, but it really doesn't come into view until the very last few steps. It is up and to the left. The trail gets steep as it leaves the grassy slopes and enters the talus, although it remains good.
From the saddle, the most direct route to the hut is to continue straight over the pass to the east and then follow the trail as it turns south and descends the steep, but well-marked trail to the Friedrichshafener Hut.
If there is time and energy remaining, it is possible to follow the route southwest (right) from the Schafbichljoch and ascend to the Vertinenpleiskopf for excellent views. From here, you can return to the saddle to descend or continue along the ridge until the trail descends to the south (left) past alpine lakes. Where the trail meets the dirt road, turn left to follow it to the Friedrichshafener Hut.
