Ziel
Medrigjochbahn Mountain Station
Weg
Descend from the Ascher Hut the same way you came up the day before until arriving at the Medrigjochbahn. If you have time, head to the wellness area before entering the gondola and take advantage of the Kneippe (a basin of shallow and cold water that you walk through, lifting your foot out of the water with each step, which is good for foot health) and the barefoot track. This area is located just beyond the restrooms.
At the base of the valley, turn right and walk just a couple more minutes until you see the Tourist Information Office with the bus stop in front. Cross the street here and wait for the bus heading toward Bielerhöhe. Board this bus and exit again at the Diasbahn Bergbahn stop in Kappl (the stop after you head up the hill to Kappl-Dorf and then drive back down it again). Take the Diasbahn to its top station and continue with Stage 2b.
Anreise
Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel
There is a bus stop (See Gemeindeamt) just 4 minutes to the east of the gondola along the main road that connects to Landeck.
Weitere Informationen
The Medrigjochbahn runs in the summer months from 8:30 am to 12:00 and from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A ride into the valley costs 7€ per person, but if you want to take the gondola up as well, a roundtrip ticket costs 13.50€. There is no ticket office at the top station, but you are able to board the gondola without a ticket. Please verify when purchasing the tickets that you can use the ascent and descent tickets on different days. More information can be found here: https://www.bergbahn.com/
