Thomas Stipsits & Band

Im Juni 2025 wurde zuerst einmal aufgewärmt. Thomas Stipsits hat sein "Team" ins Wiener Orpheum einberufen, um ein paar "Aufwärmkonzerte" für das Spektakel von Seiler & Speer am 19. Juli im Happel-Stadion zu geben. Doch schon im Orpheum war klar, hier ist nicht eine Coverband am Werk, sondern hochmotivierte Musikerinnen und Musiker, die einem Musikgenre neues Leben einspielen werden - dem Austropop.

Beim Stadionkonzert sollte dies eindrucksvoll bewiesen werden. Dort waren zahlreiche Bands engagiert, um die Fans von Seiler & Speer für ihren Hauptact aufzuheizen.

Dafür wurden die Schick Sisters mit der Opus-Band engagiert, Wolfgang Ambros und die Nr. 1 vom Wienerwald, sowie Blödel-Legende Otto Waalkes und seine Friesen-Jungs. Dieses großartige Vorprogramm lief bereits am Nachmittag vor rund 40.000 Besuchern. Um 16:30 Uhr ging die Band von Thomas Stipsits auf die Bühne:

Als die ersten Takte von "Ollas Leiwaund" angerissen wurden, stürmte Publikums-liebling Thomas Stipsits unter tosendem Applaus der Fans zu seiner Band auf die Bühne. Danach folgte ein kurzes Hochamt des Austropop, voll Spielfreude und Energie. Genaugenommen war es der Teaser für jenes Hochamt, das die Band künftig zelebrieren wird und dass das Publikum schließlich einhellig bekennen lässt: Der Austropop lebt!

Linz AG FrischLuft-Bühne Open Air
Alle Veranstaltungen auf der Open Air Linz AG FrischLuft-Bühne finden grundsätzlich bei jedem Wetter draußen statt. Bei Verdacht auf Regen ersuchen wir darum, eigene Schlechtwetterbekleidung mitzunehmen. Bei Gewitter und Sturm muss abgesagt/abgebrochen werden. Sollte eine Absage bereits im Vorfeld erkennbar notwendig sein, wird diese umgehend auf der Posthof-Homepage und auf unseren Social-Media-Kanälen bekanntgegeben.

In June 2025, the first step was to warm up. Thomas Stipsits summoned his "team" to the Orpheum in Vienna to give a few "warm-up concerts" for the Seiler & Speer spectacle on July 19 in the Happel Stadium. But it was already clear at the Orpheum that this was not a cover band at work, but highly motivated musicians who were going to breathe new life into a musical genre - Austropop.

This was to be impressively demonstrated at the stadium concert. Numerous bands were engaged to warm up the fans of Seiler & Speer for their main act.

The Schick Sisters with the Opus Band, Wolfgang Ambros and the No. 1 from the Vienna Woods, as well as the legendary comedian Otto Waalkes and his Friesen boys were engaged. This great supporting program already ran in the afternoon in front of around 40,000 visitors. Thomas Stipsits' band took to the stage at 4:30 pm:

As the first bars of "Ollas Leiwaund" were played, audience favorite Thomas Stipsits joined his band on stage to thunderous applause from the fans. This was followed by a short high mass of Austropop, full of enthusiasm and energy. Strictly speaking, it was the teaser for the high mass that the band will celebrate in the future and that the audience finally unanimously confessed: Austropop is alive!
