Anda Morts

Nach zwei restlos ausverkauften Tourneen 2024 hat der Linzer Paradepunk Anda Morts für diesen Herbst bereits eine umfangreiche Tour für Deutschland und Österreich bestätigt, nur um jetzt mit der Ankündigung seines Debütalbums und neuen Terminen für das kommende Jahr nachzulegen. Neun Konzerte wird es im April und November 2026 geben, das Album "ANS" erscheint noch dieses Jahr - und zwar am 19. September. Darin geht es um Faschos, Incels, Autobahnen, Nikotin.

Wie Anda auf dem Album alte Punk-Formeln mit pochendem Herzen und geboten zorniger Haltung ins Hier und Jetzt katapultiert, wie er mit maximaler Dringlichkeit die Wirklichkeit umreißt, das hat eine derart furios mitreißende Art, dass man sofort mehr davon haben will. Anda Morts ist ein vortrefflicher Beobachter, mit wenigen hingeworfenen Zeilen seziert er subkulturelle und andere Szenen, Beziehungen, die Straße, Politik, Gesellschaft. Er beherrscht die Kunst, vom vermeintlichen Kleinen ins Große zu kommen und hat dabei eine tief empfundene, unverstellte Zärtlichkeit und Liebe für seine Figuren.

Kitsch und Euphemismus sind in dieser Musik nicht zu Hause, Anda Morts hat einen außerordentlich gut funktionierenden Bullshit-Detektor. Oder wie die Berliner:innen, die ihn jüngst vor Element of Crime in der Berliner Philharmonie erleben durften, es verliebt nennen: Der Rabauke mit den ungewöhnlich langen Punksongs.

Anda Morts steht nicht im Pass, eigentlich heißt er Andreas, sein Cousin auf der Alm in Osttirol nannte ihn Anda. Und dann hat er mal einen, für die Linzer:innen bekannten Bierwagen gesehen mit einer Werbung von einem Café namens Strom, die er spiegelverkehrt durch ein Schaufenster sah. Aus Strom wurde Morts, fertig war der Künstlername, DIY eben.

Einen Song über seine neue Musikkünstlerexistenz gibt es auf "ANS" natürlich auch: "Ich sitze vormittags im Park / Wenn ich mal nicht bis Mittag schlaf / Gelegentlich fühl ich mich schlecht / Alle auf Arbeit ich im Bett" singt Anda in "Freitag". "Ich wollte meine Freunde mit dem Song ärgern, die natürlich weiterhin arbeiten gehen müssen", sagt er grinsend. "Hat geklappt, 'Boah, du Arschloch', habe ich nicht nur einmal gehört."

Dabei arbeitet er ja, und wie. Nur halt zu seinen eigenen Bedingungen. In diesem Herbst sowie im April und November 2026 stellt Anda Morts, dieser wunderbar schnörkellose Songwriter und brillante Erzähler famoser Alltagsgeschichten, zusammen mit seiner Band sein Debütalbum "ANS" auf großer Tour durch Deutschland und Österreich live vor.

After two completely sold-out tours in 2024, Linz-based parade punk Anda Morts have already confirmed an extensive tour for Germany and Austria this fall, only to follow it up with the announcement of their debut album and new dates for the coming year. There will be nine concerts in April and November 2026, and the album "ANS" will be released this year - on September 19. It's about fascists, incels, highways and nicotine.

The way Anda catapults old punk formulas into the here and now on the album with a pounding heart and an angry attitude, the way he outlines reality with maximum urgency, is so furiously captivating that you immediately want more of it. Anda Morts is an excellent observer, dissecting subcultural and other scenes, relationships, the street, politics and society in just a few lines. He has mastered the art of moving from the supposedly small to the large and has a deeply felt, undisguised tenderness and love for his characters.

Kitsch and euphemism are not at home in this music; Anda Morts has an extraordinarily well-functioning bullshit detector. Or, as the Berliners who recently experienced him in front of Element of Crime in the Berlin Philharmonie call it, in love: The bully with the unusually long punk songs.

Anda Morts is not in his passport, his real name is Andreas, his cousin on the mountain pasture in East Tyrol called him Anda. And then he once saw a beer van that was well-known to the people of Linz with an advertisement for a café called Strom, which he saw mirrored through a shop window. Strom became Morts, and the artist name was born - DIY.

Of course, there is also a song about his new existence as a music artist on "ANS": "I sit in the park in the morning / If I don't sleep until noon / Occasionally I feel bad / Everyone at work I'm in bed" sings Anda in "Freitag". "I wanted to annoy my friends with the song, who of course still have to go to work," he says with a grin. "It worked, 'Boah, you asshole', I heard it more than once."

But he does work, and how. Just on his own terms. This fall, as well as in April and November 2026, Anda Morts, this wonderfully straightforward songwriter and brilliant storyteller of fabulous everyday stories, will be presenting his debut album "ANS" live with his band on a major tour of Germany and Austria.
