Manche Bands reifen. Mando Diao dagegen explodieren - mal wieder. Und sie nehmen uns mit in eine Welt, die schöner nicht entgleisen könnte: In "Boblikov’s Magical World", dem jüngsten Studioalbum der Schweden, regiert ein trickreicher Schattenmann über ein Netzwerk globaler Handlanger - eine Allegorie auf die dunklen Seiten des Menschlichen, verpackt in kurzen, scharfkantigen Songs und einen Sound, der zurück in die Garage führt. Dreckige Gitarren, polterndes Schlagzeug, kaum Pausen - das alles klingt nach Angriffslust und Spielfreude pur.

Doch wer Mando Diao kennt, weiß: Hinter dem Chaos steckt Methode. Seit ihrer Gründung 1999 haben sich die Rocker aus Borlänge unzählige Male neu erfunden - mal britpopverliebt, mal elektroflirtend, mal hymnisch-melancholisch. Doch live bleiben sie eine Naturgewalt. Björn Dixgårds raues Timbre, die ungestüme Bühnenenergie, das Faible für mitreißende Hooks - all das hat sie längst zur internationalen Kultgröße gemacht.

Nach über 20 Jahren Bandgeschichte, Goldauszeichnungen und Klassikern wie "Dance With Somebody" oder "Gloria" zelebrieren Mando Diao heute das, was sie am besten können: kompromisslosen Rock’n’Roll, unberechenbar wie eh und je.

Alle Veranstaltungen auf der Open Air Linz AG FrischLuft-Bühne finden grundsätzlich bei jedem Wetter draußen statt. Bei Verdacht auf Regen ersuchen wir darum, eigene Schlechtwetterbekleidung mitzunehmen. In geringem Ausmaß stehen Regenponchos vor Ort zur Verfügung. Bei Gewitter und Sturm muss abgesagt/abgebrochen werden. Sollte eine Absage bereits im Vorfeld erkennbar notwendig sein, wird diese umgehend auf der Posthof-Homepage und auf unseren Social-Media-Kanälen bekanntgegeben.

And they take us into a world that couldn't be more beautifully derailed: In "Boblikov's Magical World", the Swedes' latest studio album, a tricky shadow man rules over a network of global henchmen - an allegory of the dark side of humanity, packaged in short, sharp-edged songs and a sound that takes us back to the garage. Dirty guitars, rumbling drums, hardly any breaks - it all sounds like pure aggression and joy of playing.

But anyone who knows Mando Diao knows that there is a method behind the chaos. Since their formation in 1999, the rockers from Borlänge have reinvented themselves countless times - sometimes in love with Britpop, sometimes flirting with electro, sometimes hymnic and melancholic. But live, they remain a force of nature. Björn Dixgård's raspy timbre, the boisterous stage energy, the penchant for rousing hooks - all this has long since made them an international cult act.

After more than 20 years of band history, gold awards and classics such as "Dance With Somebody" and "Gloria", Mando Diao today celebrate what they do best: uncompromising rock'n'roll, as unpredictable as ever.
