Die Tour
Enjoy a relaxed day cycling through Germany and Austria
Today you will cycle through sprawling orchards and vineyards towards the Bavarian town of Lindau, whose old town is a protected site and located on an island! After a few kilometres more you’ll cross the border into the Austrian town of Bregenz. If time permits you can take the cable car up Pfander mountain, (1,050m), for a fantastic vista of your entire route - a real achievement!
Depending on where your accommodation is for tonight, cycle to Lindau or on to Bregenz.

These maps and routes are designed to be used in conjunction with the Bikeline documentation that you will receive upon arrival. We have recently embarked on a conversion initiative to bring the two elements together, and this itinerary will be covered in due course.
In the meantime, using the two elements alongside each other should go a long way to ensure you have a safe, enjoyable and problem free day.

Sicherheitshinweise
Although you’ll sometimes be on marked cycle routes, you will also be cycling on roads so please beware of traffic and cycle on the right-hand side of the road if there is no cycle lane. Whilst drivers in Germany are respectful of the 'velo', please do be mindful of other road users at all times, obeying local road signs and any change in road conditions. Beware of traffic, especially when entering and leaving the towns where the traffic flow tends to be highest.
Before starting your ride it’s always worth inspecting your bike for any damage. Check for any damage to the frame, components or wheels. Ensure there are no loose cables and that the tyres are inflated and the brakes are working. Always wear a helmet when cycling. If you are doubtful of the condition of your rental bike please call the office or the local bike hire on the number provided in your information pack.
